Paul van Dongen is a Registered Graphic Designer (RGD) and a member of the Directors Guild of Canada. Van Dongen has been collaborating with a range of clients to achieve visual success for over 20 years. Prior to founding Committee in 2003, van Dongen held art director positions at both the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and PolyGram Group Canada (Universal Music).

Van Dongen’s expertise includes the development of strategic branding solutions including corporate identity, typography, annual reports and corporate literature, marketing communications, editorial design, data visualization, event-related visual creative and signing, direct mail, package design, websites, point of sale, advertising, and graphic design for film. He has created award-winning work recognized by organizations including Communication Arts, the Canadian Country Music Awards, the Broadcast Design Association, Promax International, the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (OSGDA), Summit Creative Awards, and the Juno Awards.

Paul is a graduate of the Graphic Design Program at Sheridan College of Applied Arts and Technology in Oakville, Ontario. In 2008, he returned to the classroom as a Sessional Instructor at Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto. He has served on RGD’s Education Committee, reviewed student portfolios, and acted as juror for the Association’s Student Awards. In 2021, Paul completed a long tenure as a Juno Award advisory committee chair at the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (CARAS).
